ACCEPTANCE OF THREE-YEAR PAY OFFER FOR SUPPORT STAFF - JOINT STATEMENT
Representatives of employers and trade unions have commented on the formal acceptance of the employers’ three-year pay offer by the support staff trade unions (UNISON, Unite and GMB).
Gavin Donoghue, Director of College Employers Scotland (CES), said:
“We are pleased that the pay dispute between college employers and the support staff trade unions is officially at an end and that further industrial action has been avoided.
“With the summer holiday period approaching, employers will now aim to release this pay rise in the earliest possible pay period.”
Janet Stewart, Support Staff Side Secretary and UNISON regional officer, said:
“The agreement means all college support staff will benefit from a consolidated pay rise of £5,000 over three academic years, equating to an average pay increase of nearly 16%.”
