Formal Agreement Reached with EIS-FELA on 2021/22 Pay Discussions
Gavin Donoghue, Director of College Employers Scotland, said:
“We are pleased that this pay dispute is now at an end and that lecturers can continue to deliver the world-class learning experiences that college students deserve.
“This agreement means college lecturers in Scotland retain their position as having the most generous pay and conditions across the UK, with a starting salary now at over £35,000 a year.
“The dispute itself was regrettable and we hope that, with common sense and goodwill on both sides, future pay discussions will result in sustainable and affordable outcomes for colleges, and ensure we have a financially secure sector of which we can all be proud.”
